Planning your Next Snowmobiling Trip In Northern Ontario

If you love wintertime outdoor recreation, chances are you have been on a snowmobile a time or two. Theres nothing quite like the feeling as you glide over the snow at spectacular speed, or just head out for an afternoon cruise. In Canada, snowmobiling is a popular wintertime activity, and the longer it stays cold, the longer the season lasts.

One of the most popular snowmobiling destinations in the country is the area known as cottage country, around the shores of Lake Huron. This region is close enough to one of the most densely populated areas in North America (and the most densely populated area in Canada) to be a convenient getaway place, even in winter time, for a large number of people. As a result, the communities in the area have established a large network of recreational activities for winter, and the Town of Parry Sound is the heart of the snowmobile network.

The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs has created a vast network of recreational snowmobilers, and part of their goal is to create safe and legal areas to pursue their hobby in prime regions of Canada. As a result, there are thousands of kilometres of trail around the Town of Parry Sound, with the majority of them well groomed all winter long.

Of course it is essential on any outdoors trip, and especially one in Canada, to be properly prepared. Therefore it is essential not only to check the weather conditions on the dates you plan on going out, but the state of the trails as well. Many of the trails are on land that is privately owned, and snow that is not deep enough will mean not only that the trails are unsafe, but also that this land is vulnerable to damage. Its important that all people taking part in recreational activities do their part to make sure that these lands continue to be open.

Its also important to note that it is mandatory to hold a current years license when snowmobiling in Ontario. Most people will feel a natural disinclination to embrace additional fees, but the funds from snowmobiling licenses in the province go to further the sport, including over 70% allocated to trail development and maintenance. (Ontario currently has the worlds largest fleet of industrial groomers!)

German Automakers Are Heading For A Fall Warns Becker

German automakers are sliding toward a cliff and risk taking the whole economy with them. That is a warning given by Helmut Becker, Bayerische Motoren Werke AGs former chief economist.

If the auto industry is to believe to the warning of the of the esteemed economist, would it be high time to say goodbye to Porsche AG, Volkswagen AG, Audi AG, DaimlerChrysler AG, and other German automakers?

The future belongs to Japanese, Korean and Chinese carmakers, Becker writes in an article titled Ausgebremst: Wie die Autoindustrie Deutschland in die Krise Faehrt'’ (Outmaneuvered: How the Auto Industry Is Driving Germany Into Crisis'’).

Some experts in the industry said that it would be wise to heed Beckers warning which is supported by statistics and market analysis.

I turned the last pages in amazement that the industry is still afloat let alone that it accounts for one in seven German jobs, directly and indirectly. Though German carmakers are faring better than their U.S. rivals, that’s not a helpful comparison, wrote Catherine Hickley. The challenge comes from Toyota Motor Corp., which is poised to overtake General Motors Corp. as the world’s top automaker, and Chinese upstarts like Chery Automobile Co. and Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd.

German cars are too big, too costly and too polluting, Becker said. And these factors contribute to the significant sales doldrums afflicting German vehicles. China, meanwhile, is the battleground that will determine who survives, Becker noted. As a fact, the facilities in the territory already produce more cars than those in Germany.

A chapter written by Frank Sieren, the China bureau chief of magazine WirtschaftsWoche, tracks the fall of German automakers from supremacy in the world’s biggest potential market. China has become the nightmare of every German car executive,'’ Sieren said. He envisions that sooner rather than later'’ Germans will order four-door Chinese cars from the discount supermarket chain Aldi Group for 3,499 euros ($4,780). ALDI, short for “ALbrecht Discount, is a Germany-based discount supermarket chain - it is one of the biggest retail chains around the world.

German automakers execs could not put the blame on external forces. The 63-year-old economist from the makers of quality BMW 3.0cs radiator showed catalogs that reflect some errors and missed opportunities over the decades. The catalogs have specifically stressed DaimlerChrysler and Volkswagen.

Some of the factors that contribute to German automakers demise include ego-driven, bungled and tragically costly mergers, ill-advised labor accords on wages and work hours, environmental lack of forethought in missing out on hybrid engines, and an unwise concentration on boy toys for saturated Western markets instead of competing on small, affordable car segments.

How powerful are Asian automakers? This year, the Toyota Motor Corp. has surpassed the General Motors Corp. as the largest automaker worldwide. Last year, the Japanese automaker had 52 factories in 28 countries, Becker said. In comparison, Volkswagen produced vehicles in 18 countries, mostly in Europe. Additionally, the automaker closed its only factory in the United States - a move Becker calls fatal'’ for the entire German industry in that market. Why? Because Toyota’s luxury division Lexus became the bestselling luxury car there.

Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Ltd., BMWs venture partner, is challenging Volkswagen and Adam Opel, GM’ German unit, with its own Zhonghua brand. German newspapers have called it the Mao Mercedes and Cheap BMW.

The industry would not collapse overnight, Becker said. German carmakers might even avert a crisis. If there is no radical change, he noted, as many as 400,000 jobs may be lost - 100,000 from automakers and the rest from suppliers. So Germany needs its auto industry. But does the world need it too?'’ Becker concluded.

Vaporizers Working Fundamental

Basic working principle of vaporizers is convection or conduction. Convection is a process in which the plant material or herbs does not come into direct contact with the heating element, but a stream of hot air is passed on the material to release the vapors. This process is repeated many times so as to extract all the vapors from the herbs. This is a good method to extract vapors without unwanted constituents in the vapors. And in the conduction heating a metal plate is used for heating the substance. The metal plate is heated on which the plant extract is placed. This is done to extract the vapors from the herbs or plant material. Heating causes burning of material and production of smoke. So the vapors produced in the conduction process are of lower quality than convection. Conduction process was used in earlier vaporizers and spirit lamps other lighters were used for heating. But in the modern vaporizers convection process is used. All the digital vaporizers are based on this technology. Many other options are also provided by the digital vaporizers as climate control, flavored vapors, food grade balloons etc.

Different vaporizers deliver vapors in different ways. Vaporizers users inhale the fresh vapors produced from the vaporizers with the help of rubber tube. And in the digital vaporizers a fan is used to make the flow of vapors to fill the balloons. Vapors filled, leak proof balloons can be used to store the flavored vapors of digital vaporizers. Oxidation is minimized in this process and user enjoys most fresh vapors. Another thing that makes difference between the vaporizers is the type of chamber used. As the solid and liquid material both can be used as filling in the vaporizer so the type of chamber make a difference. Some people use powered herbs in vaporizers and some use concentrated liquids, so both the users need different chambers. And the chambers that have to support liquid are of different material than the chambers for solid material. Some vaporizers use a ceramic soldering iron element with a glass extraction chamber and a plastic pipe for vapors delivery. This is cheap and effective method. But people are concerned about fuming of mercury gas from the solder element present in wiring of the box.

Now day aluminum is mostly used in vaporizers as it is lighter and cheaper metal. Moreover this metal does not react with any herb or plant material and its wear tear is minimal. Aluminum is conductor of heat so it gets heated up with very less heat and energy is saved. Last but not the least vaporizers with aluminum chambers are very easy to clean as nothing sticks on it.
