Find Cheap Bette Midler Tickets

“Heaven is a song from a Broadway show,” crooned Bette Midler in that irreverent late 1980s hit song, “I’m Singing Broadway.” None knows better than her what it is to be a true Broadway star. The song poked fun at some of the most popular pop musicians of the era, but earned Bette another feather in her cap - the ability to say what she wanted without fear, no matter how big the star. Her diva chic, coupled with what she herself termed “trash” style, has made her among one of the most beloved performers on stage and screen. Almost 40 years after her first album hit, the demand for Bette Midler tickets for shows and concerts keeps increasing.

Bette Midler’s brassy, “I don’t care what you might think” attitude has made her a beloved pop and movie star. She can get away with things that could intimidate lesser mortals. She started her cabaret career at The Continental Baths, a gathering place for men professing alternate sexuality - with no less than the famed Barry Manilow was her accompanist. From then, there was no looking back.

A year later, in 1973, she released her second album, titled “Bette Midler.” The album established her reputation as a singer par excellence. A reputation that endures still, with fans queuing up for Bette Midler tickets on Broadway. Miss Midler’s second moment of greatness came in 1979, when she won an Academy Award nomination for portraying a rock ‘n roll singer in “The Rose.” The movie, directed by Paul Mazursky, established Bette’s reputation as an actress with some caliber.

Until the mid 1980s, fans had only seen the feisty, no-holds-barred, or the more serious side of Bette. She was to challenge their notions about her once again, through a series of comic capers that left the audiences asking for more. Her 1986 movie, “Down and Out in Beverly Hills,” gave her the chance to hold her own against established stars such as Richard Dreyfuss (famed for the “Close Encounters” movies) and Nick Nolte, then a reigning movie heartthrob. Her next movie, “Ruthless People,” had her as the loud, demanding wife of the henpecked Danny DeVito. Bette’s ability to make people laugh and her absolute lack of self-consciousness on screen made her an instant hit with people too tired of stars who took themselves too seriously. Ask any fan who would rather miss a concert by the many (self-styled) modern day divas out there than not grab the best Bette Midler tickets they could find!

Miss Midler was not finished with her bag of surprises yet. She starred in the gritty spy thriller “Outrageous Fortune” in 1987. And she backed that up with a powerhouse performance in her biggest movie hit to date, 1988s “Beaches,” which had her most popular song (Wind Beneath My Wings). She could not, unfortunately, ever match the success of Beaches. In the 1990s, she starred in a series of modest hits such as “The First Wives Club” in 1996 and “For the Boys” in 1991.

If you want to attend any of Bette Midler’s Broadway shows, you can find cheap Bette Midler tickets through online ticket sellers. Remember that the lady is popular on stage, and you may not make it if you wait for your turn at the ticketing booth. Buying online is easier and cheaper.
